Miranda sent me a story she published on a site I hadn’t heard of, called

Ravishly.

Here Miranda describes herself: Miranda Stone’s work is strongly influenced by the setting and culture of the Appalachian Mountains. Her fiction and poetry have been published in numerous print and online journals, including Pithead Chapel, Prole, and The First Line. Her short story, “The Confession,” was published in the anthology Southern Gothic: New Tales of the South. She lives in Virginia.

Her story, The Offering can be found by clicking the link. It is truly lovely.  She doesn’t have a photo on her About Page, but you can read more of her stories on her site. She writes beautiful stories! And thank you, Miranda, for helping me find a new obsession!

Then, being who I am, I had to check out the rest of the online magazine, and to say I love it is an understatement. Especially what I found next!

Flora Tsapovsky who herself as, “Writer and blogger. New Girl laugh-out-loud addict. Walk-in closets enthusiast. Nigella Lawson admirer. Passionate fashion lover. Wishful traveler. Soon to be dressmaker.

She wrote a fun article called Age Before Beauty: Why Advanced Style Should Be Everyone’s Must-See that I got a huge kick out of! Go check it out, then check her other work for other great articles on style, fashion and people.

Once I read the article, I trundled over to youtube to check out the documentary and found some wonderful clips!

Why stories about older women in flirty fashion? Well, guess I have to admit to being an older lady – and my jammies are getting kind of boring!
